Sentinel Action Fund endorses Republican Tim Sheehy for Senate in Montana.
Sheehy is facing off against career politician, Democrat Jon Tester in a state that Donald Trump won by 16 percent in 2020. Tester has served in the U.S. Senate for 18 years, and it’s past time to fire him. Tester is the deciding vote that the Democratic Party has used to pass their far-Left agenda, confirming activist judges, spending aimlessly to fuel inflation, and keeping our southern border wide open.
On both foreign policy and on domestic spending, Tester votes with his Democratic colleagues and against his Montana constituents.
In contrast, Tim Sheehy will be the conservative vote in the Senate needed to confirm Trump’s nominees, control spending, and secure the border. Montanans need a change, and Tim Sheehy is who will best represent them in the Senate.
Just as they have in the past two presidential elections, Montanans are going to elect Donald Trump, and Sentinel Action Fund is working to make sure Republican Tim Sheehy joins Trump in Washington.
Who is Tim Sheehy?
Tim Sheehy is a lot of things: a father to four children, a veteran Navy Seal, and a husband to a vet (his wife Carmen was a marine officer). He is an entrepreneur and employer to over 200 Montanans, building a business to fight wildfires and protect America’s resources.
Sheehy is also a conservative endorsed by Donald Trump. He’s the real deal, and the right choice for Montana’s small-government values. Unlike Jon Tester — a fake and phony politician that has already spent 18 years in the U.S. Senate.
Jon Tester is inauthentic and sells himself as a lot of things he’s not. He says he’s for the little guy but does the bidding of the coastal elites — a radical Democratic Party that is openly hostile to rural Americans, calling them “racists,” “deplorables,” and “extremists.”
Tester also likes to be mistaken for a vet, often wearing military-themed gear for photo-ops (like this USS Montana hat for NBC News). In stark contrast, Tim Sheehy is a wounded vet and an actual part of the community that Jon Tester says he supports.
And if Tester really supported veterans, he wouldn’t be attacking Sheehy for moving to Montana after retiring from the Navy. In Sunday’s debate, Tester made multiple low-ball comments about how Sheehy didn’t live his whole life in Montana. His surrogates in the media have not been so subtle. Those spewing these attacks clearly don’t respect the continual sacrifice military families make to uproot their lives and move to where the country needs them.
What’s important is that when Sheehy retired from serving our country, he chose Montana, and built his own family business — instead of inheriting one like Tester. (Democrats are always afraid of the self-made man.)
Why is Montana a critical state to win?
It all comes back to the issues, like securing our southern border.
Because what is perhaps most galling about Tester’s attacks on Tim Sheehy for moving to Montana is that Tester has done everything possible to allow illegal aliens to enter every day:
Tester voted against Trump’s Border wall in 2018;
in 2021, he voted to confirm Alejandro Mayorkas as Secretary of Homeland Security — Mayorkas is the architect of Biden’s open border catastrophe; and
in 2024, Tester voted against holding a Senate trial after the House impeached Mayorkas. He voted for a cover-up.
So while Jon Tester is attacking Tim Sheehy for moving his family to Montana years ago, he’s helping illegal immigrants enter Montana every day. I guess Tester’s position is that illegal immigrants can move to Montana, but American veterans can’t.
Tim Sheehy will be a 180-degree change from Jon Tester. The people of Montana aren’t opposed to former Navy-seals retiring to their state; they are concerned about the unvetted, illegal aliens moving in. Tim Sheehy knows this, and will help Donald Trump secure the border.
In addition to the border, Sheehy gets it right on the need to fund America first. Europe needs to step up and contribute to NATO, and not rely on us to be their sole defense.
Sheehy has correctly pointed out how all this spending in Washington is driving inflation and hurting American families. There is a real cost of living crisis, and Montana is feeling the hurt of Joe Biden’s policies, especially on housing and high interest rates.
Tester isn’t fighting for change, but Tim Sheehy is. Let’s put Montanans, and Americans, first and elect Republican Tim Sheehy to the Senate.
